Oņati - Rural Visits

6/15/01 Korpus dancers meet at 9:00 a.m. in the plaza on the Friday before Korpus Eguna.  From here they make their yearly visit to rural locations and collect donations.
6/15/01 The group that I accompanied went to the rural neighborhood of Zubillaga. Much of this zone has an urban feel, but also includes traditional farmsteads.
6/15/01 This trunk is full of utxak wooden boxes  for collecting donations, and also castanets.
6/15/01 The dancers announce their arrival at each home by playing castanets.
