Corpus Christi preparations are underway at the old convent of
Santa Ana. Clothing and accessories for Saint Michael, Christ
and the Apostles are carefully laid out by members of the
Cofradía del Santísimo Sacramento.

The authentic armor worn by Saint Michael was originally owned by
someone from Oñati and dates roughly from the time of the institution
of the celebration of Korpus in Oñati - 1560. |

All clothing and accessories are carefully stored from
year to year. This mask for Saint Michael is no
longer used but is carefully preserved. I am grateful to
the kind members of the Cofradía for letting me share
this experience. |

As preparation continues at Santa Ana and throughout
town Director Jesús Irizar gives the Korpus dancers
final instructions for the procession and details on
accompanying the images of the saints to Saint Michael's
before Mass. |
