From this stop the bell tower of San Miguel parish can
be seen. The young helpers wait to take the makilak
or sticks from the dancers and hand them arkuak
or arches. |

The same cycle of dances from Corpus Christi is
performed over and over at different locations
throughout Oņati all morning and then again in the
afternoon. This requires a great deal of stamina.
The next day the cycle is repeated twice for the Korpus
celebration. |
