Activities Zenbat Gara made its version of the Olentzero or Basque Christmas figure in 1990. He has since made his appearance at the Sparks Hometown Christmas Parade, a few holiday performances, and throughout the Reno area when Zenbat Gara has gone to friends' homes to sing Basque Christmas carols. Another holiday the group has celebrated by house-to-house singing is the day of Saint Agatha or Agata Deuna on February 5th. The song repeated at each house asks the saint to protect that dwelling for the year. |
